If you are dissatisfied with a product, you may request a refund within 30 days of receiving the item. The product must be returned in its original condition. You are responsible for return shipping costs and are advised to retain proof of postage. Once the returned item passes inspection, the refund will be processed to the original payment method (PayPal or credit card).

Baron's Shield

The Baron’s Shield from Epic Armoury, created in collaboration with Fell&Fair Productions, is a heater-style shield steeped in history and brought to life for modern play. Inspired by the heraldry of medieval England and created for the LARP event War of the Barons, it combines historical aesthetics with practical construction for safe and reliable use in the field.

This design shares the same sturdy model as our trusted Heater Shield, built with a sculpted EVA foam body painted to resemble weathered wood and reinforced with stitched leather edging. The difference is in its bold heraldry: a striking chevron motif hand-painted across the front. The chevron, seen across countless coats of arms, carries strong symbolic meaning and instantly gives your kit the weight of medieval authenticity.

On the reverse, you’ll find the same clever cross-strap handle system used across the line. Made from rugged leather, the grip can be worn on either the left or right arm with equal ease. Whether you’re left-handed, favor switching hands during long battles, or just want flexibility, this grip setup makes the shield accessible to a wide range of players and playstyles.

The curved silhouette provides excellent wrap-around protection, helping you block and deflect blows while maintaining mobility. It’s light enough for extended use but still substantial enough to look and feel convincing on the field. Paired with the Baron’s Spear, it creates a cohesive set that looks right at home in the middle of a shield wall or during a lone heroic stand.

This is a shield that tells a story before you even draw your weapon. The heraldic chevron makes it suitable for knights, bannermen, or any character tied to noble or martial traditions. Keep it as it is for an authentic medieval feel, or overlay your own personal sigil to make it uniquely yours.
